Progesterone

Arrg! I'm on month three now & having to take progesterone vaginally as it made me highly anxious orally.

The problem is now when i take it for the second half of the month, is it makes me feel horrible. Really bloated with very sore boobs.

I can't be doing with this.
Just been really snappy with my kids today too 😢

Which was half the reason I wanted to take it in the first place (to be calmer)

Will it pass? I don't know what to do.

Any remedies for the painful boobs?

Give it time. It's crap initially but it will calm down after a few months. You could go back to see your gp to adjust your dose or find another treatment. Most will say three to six months to try and let it settle. I'm actually better now with progesterone as I find it zoned me out a bit and things that would normally bother me I just 🖕to now. I've been in hrt for just over two years x

I don't know the answer @HoliHormonalTigerlilly but I'm also suffering with painful breasts. I've got the mirena coil and estrogen patches. Overall I'm happy with it. It's only been 2 months. But I've noticed my skin and hair are really greasy (progesterone side effects I think) and my breasts are bigger and sore. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope it settles down.

Have you got a comfy, non-wired bra that's big enough?

I just feel ENORMOUS when I take it.
I look about 6 months pregnant.
And it seems to knock all the good effects of the oestrogen out of whack.
Confused

I get the same feeling, a few days into the progesterone phase (tablets here). The bloating is almost obscene. But I'm 2.5 months in and so trying to let it settle in before going back to docs.

It's really getting me down.
