Time of day for HRT gel?

I've been on Estrigel for three weeks. Currently applying before bed, but wondering about changing to first thing in the morning to see if it has any impact on sleep.

Am I clutching at straws? And if I do change how do I do it? Miss a dose or fake an evening then a morning?

Clutching at straws!

HRT is not like some medication where it works for a few hours then wears off.

It gets into your system and if used regularly the levels will build up to give symptom-relief.

It's a bit like asking 'If I put fuel in my car in the morning will it go further than putting it in at night'.

No, it will be the same whenever.

Interesting I’m just starting this - my progesterone (waiting for day 15, am in day 3 of first ever use) says at same time as gel and at night. So I do it then, about an hour after eating.

I’ve just changed from taking it at night to the morning as I think it was stopping me sleeping at night but ……
