bleeding postmenopause

hi haven't had period for approx 18 months, now feel beside myself with worry, as just read few of these posts:( :(, being referred to gynae, the gp said it will take two weeks to hear back, if i havent heard back then, chase the surgery,,, concerned,,,

My mum had this but it was about 25 years post menopause. It was polyps. Of course you’re concerned but try not to worry. Definitely make sure you do chase if you don’t hear.

I had this too and I delayed going to my GP because of the first lockdown. When I finally got round to seeing my GP I was so worried that I burst into tears at the appointment.

I got a quick referal for an appointment and went for that. Had a biopsy taken which was clear. Then the bleeding just stopped on it's own. I have no idea why it happened but the bleeding started about two years after my last period and it went on for months. I am totally fine now and haven't had a single bit of bleeding since. I hope this reassures you a little. Not all post menopausal bleeding means something serious is wrong. Good luck.
