The over flowing cake tin

Today has been a spectacular brain fog day. Forgot to pick the dog up from the kennels. Forgot dd's teachers name. Forgot I'd promised to make 2 Christmas cakes for a relative so hastily bought ingredients today and now watching them spill over the tins in the oven because I forgot which ones I usually use. Does it get better?!?

Not sure, I am on HRT (month 3) but we still have 2 turkeys on order, 2 identical presents for one person and none for another. I don't go to Sainsburys without a written list.

However on the plus side I still hold down a full time job, help massively by WFH permanently.

If it does will you let me know. I was peri at 34, meno at 43 and now at 46, I'm a walking disaster. And that's on hrt.

Oh dear!

There is hope. Sometimes during perimenopause I could barely remember my own name, but since I've come out the other side I'm relieved to say the brain fog has more or less disappeared. I've friends who tell a similar tale.

I haven't taken HRT, though I would if I felt I needed it.

This morning I jumped up off the sofa we were both in pjs and I'm running up and down saying we forgot about school!
School broke up last week.

I completely forgot to log into my last mindfulness session of the year 😂. I remembered 6 hours after it finished.

I had peri for the last year. Never realised it was a thing as no one ever told me. My mum died years ago. Mates hadn't really described it. But had all the symptoms.
Menopause seems to have really kicked in the last 6 weeks. Carbo cravings (hormones), weight gain, feet issues, no periods, hot sweats, insomnia. It's a bit hideous and I'm wondering how long it will go on.
