Dizziness/spaced out feeling getting me down. Any tips?

It is constant. I’m three weeks in to HRT and no improvement. I take various supplements (including b12 and d3&k2).

Does anyone else have this and wtf did you do that helped?

TIA

Hi OP, just bumping this one for you in the hope that someone will be able to help.

Fred68 · 20/12/2021 18:30

I have been on HRT for a couple of years and this is the only thing that has not gone. However it is easing the longer time is going on. I am now post menopausal and presume my hormones are settling down a little but I still have bad days just not every day.

Mine turned out to be BPPV

BoPeeple · 22/12/2021 13:52

Thanks.

I’m pretty sure it isn’t BPPV as it doesn’t come on acutely and the Epley manoeuvre doesn’t help at all. A close family relative has BPPV so I’m quite familiar with it.

@Fred68 How do you cope with it day to day?

I don’t know really the only thing I take daily that you haven’t mentioned is magnesium glycinate and menopace. I have a very supportive family and they know I have good days and bad my dizziness is sometimes more like a lightheaded feeling. I work from home and don’t go very far on my own as I think the dizziness increased my anxiety.

BoPeeple · 22/12/2021 21:13

Thank you. I’ve just started taking magnesium so we’ll see if that helps.

I had a very bad spell of this last year which finally resolved last spring when I cut out all grains, dairy, coffee, alcohol, sugar, nuts etc for 6 weeks. But that’s obviously not sustainable!

Keep me updated if you find anything that works I have spells also of cutting things out of my diet but I think it is all down to hormones

@Fred68

Sorry if this is a bit personal, but can I ask about your weight? I have quite a low BMI and I sometimes wonder whether that doesn’t help.

Make sure you are not anemic. I am 53 and top my iron levels up with Spatone, its a very gentle, natural product.

Fred68 · 23/12/2021 13:12

Hi bopeeple my weight is up and down but around 12st I don’t think it’s anything to do with that I’m going to try cutting out wheat again after the new year to see if that helps

I had this.i ditched caffeine and alcohol.
I've been much better lately.
Sugar dips can cause this too so I always carry a banana.
