Is this menopause?

I'm 51 and have been wondering for a while if my increased anxiety and loss of concentration are linked to menopause. My gp did a blood test which has come back and my hormone levels are 'normal'. This result was given to me by receptionist, not the gp, and she said it meant I wasn't peri or menopausal.

I had what I'm sure was a hot flush for the first time a few days ago so surely I'm there already?

Does anyone know enough about this to help with an explanation?

The NICE guidelines state that after 45 menopause should be diagnosed off symptoms and not a blood test as hormones fluctuate. Tomorrow your blood might have not been what they were when you had them taken.
Look up Louise Newsoms website and search questionnaire on there. It will bring up a handy list. Also she does an app called balance where you can track your symptoms xx

@CassieJumped Thank you for that. I will look at that website; I really need to be more informed! And that makes sense re the hormones

She also does an amazing, informative podcast. I've started listening from the beginning and it's so good.
