Different odour "down there"?

Anyone else have this?

My periods stopped 4 years ago, I'm on Evorel Conti patches, use vaginal pessaries and cream. I recently started using testosterone gel. I also use Yes oil and water based lubricants. I wash twice daily with a goat's milk and coconut oil wash bar. Yet I can still smell it when I go to the toilet. I think in fact I can smell it all the time, but I do have an extremely sensitive sense of smell and also may just be obsessing about it. I know I should speak to my gp, but find it difficult discussing it over the phone and it's very difficult to get a face to face appointment, however I will ring. Just wondered if this was another of those lovely things we have to put up with when we're older SadAngry

What does it smell like? Could you have an infection such as BV?

Mrsbrownsbuoys · 07/12/2021 16:19

I can't describe the smell, it's not particularly unpleasant, I wouldn't describe it as fishy. Nothing feels different, it's not itchy or painful. I have lichen sclerosis but treat it with steroid cream and local oestrogen and am not having problems with it.

If anything I'd say it's slightly sweet, or a bit like feet, but not sweaty feet, but I'm not sure.

A bit like slightly sweaty socks.

I have a prolapse and I've got a feeling because it's blocking the entrance almost that I might have an accumulation of dissolved vaginal pessary etc in there Blush sorry tmi. I know you're not meant to rinse out the vagina but how do you keep it clean if it's not draining properly? Blush

Maybe it's the goat soap. Seems a strange thing to wash with

Mrsbrownsbuoys · 08/12/2021 11:18

It's goat milk soap, for sensitive skin. I can't see what's strange about that Wink
