I am just starting my third month of patches and I have realised that rather foolishly I have not been following the correct pattern.
First month I started correctly - using the 50 patches for two weeks around the time of my period then switched to the conti patches for two weeks.
On my second month, I can only assume I continued with the conti patches for another two weeks and then switched back to the 50 patches as I have just opened my box for this month and was about to replace the patch when I realised my mistake (I am wearing a 50 patch not a conti).
So I have stuck on a conti patch, as I think that’s the right thing to do.
I’m such a fool. My brain is so foggy I can’t even get the patches right!
I haven’t bled for 32 days now which is slighter longer than my usual cycle, but I think that it will arrive shortly now I’ve put on the conti patches.
Anyone else done this? Any words of wisdom? I don’t think it’s worth calling the GP as I don’t think there’s really anything to worry about?
From now on I will use the patches ‘backwards’ when I open the box each month and write down the right bloody patch I should be using! Grrrr
