I would be very grateful for your experiences of starting HRT. I had a brief phone consultation with the doctor before picking up a prescription today for Oestrogel & utrogestan. I didn't have the chance to digest the info and ask enough questions.
I have used two pumps of the gel a few hours ago and will take a tablet tonight. I have read the enclosed leaflet - may I check that I take one tablet nightly for days 1-25 and then take a break for three days, while the gel I put on daily?
Also, does it matter which day in your cycle you start HRT (I'm on my period at the mo)? Regarding periods, how are they different on HRT? Mine at the moment are heavy and clotty but reasonably regular.
Can anyone advise what symptoms they encountered in the first few days or weeks of HRT.
