Is this a thing? My periods have gone awry and at the same time I keep smelling of bo. I shower regularly anyway but have changed clothes three times today and showered twice. Any ideas? I hate the thought of being stinky :-(

Wash with bar soap, not shower gel.
I’ve started washing my armpits with a soapy flannel to get the old deodorant off properly.
Sniff the washed armpits of your clothes. If they still smell, use bio washing powder.
What deodorant do you use ? I changed to the Mitchum gel, and in the summer I had to up it to Perspirex.

From previous threads, this seems to be a thing but not that common.

It's hormonal. Some times in my cycle I stink. It seems to come from my cleavage more than my armpits. Other times I am fragrant. I don't wash any differently at those times.

I had the same scent when I was breastfeeding. I thought it was stale milk as I leaked a lot and it definitely came from my cleavage more than my pits. I must have a similar hormone mix now in peri.

All you can do is wash frequently to keep it at bay.

I usually use a Mitchum roll on but have been and bought the one in the box in the hope it's a bit stronger. Good point on the soap - I'll give it a go !

I've noticed that my armpits get a bit pongy when they never really used to. I was washing all the time and it helped for a while, so I stopped using soap, just washing with water, and it's realy improved. Usually I use deoderant (Tom's of Maine - no aluminum, parabens or artificial fragrances) only when I know I'm going to be seeing people. It sounds counterintuitive, but not using soap gives the 'good' bacteria a chance to get a toehold on your skin - same principle as looking after your gut bacteria and I'll now stop going on about bacteria :D
