Hysterectomy

Hi. My mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at age 48 and died at 51. I've finished having my family and wanted a hysterectomy with ovaries removal. My gp doesn't think they will do it. My mum is the only one I know in the family who passed away from ovarian cancer. I'm 35 at the moment. Will the NHS do it as a preventitive as I am her first relative? Private is so expensive and I don't know if they will do it. Anyone with similar experience, please reply. Thanks
