Vaginal progesterone and rectocele

I had a rectocele repair a few years ago, and it seems to have flared up again, coincidentally just as I have tried vaginally utrogestan for the first time. Could it be linked? I don’t think it could be the physical act of inserting the utrogestan capsules - they’re tiny and I either used on finger or an applicator but the first time I tried, I did have to push past the scar tissue. I’ve had smear tests and even a LLETZ procedure with a bloody speculum, plus I’ve had sex without any issues. Could the direct hormone absorption have had an effect? Aside from the current physical discomfort, one of the worst things about this is that I had far fewer emotional side effects from the utrogestan this way than when I swallowed it so aside from the rectocele reoccurrence, it would be so much better than the other progesterones I tried.

It’s so upsetting that NOTHING seems to work. If it wasn’t for the heart/dementia/bone benefits of the oestrogen, I’d be tempted just to stop.
