Hi everyone, I was on Estelle 1mg duet for a month but the doctor has taken me off them due to them causing bad reflux. I’ve been given Evorel Sequi patches. So my last green pill in my packet of Estelle was taken on Tuesday night I have yet to put a patch on. I go on holiday in 9 days time and I’m not sure what to expect period wise. Should I leave the patches for a bit will a period come ? I really haven’t a clue this is all very new to me so any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you

Just saying hi as I am on Evorel Sequi. I remember the instructions in the packet did say something like either to wait until you'd just finished a period, or if these were random and unpredictable, to just start it whenever (do check this though, as I haven't gone back and looked).

I am random and unpredictable throughout the month, but did wait until I'd just finished a short bleed before starting. What I remember is that I then didn't bleed much at all over the next 2-3 weeks (unusually for me), but then had the heaviest period I'd had for a while. The patches did settle me down to 1 main period every few weeks, for about the first 6 months. Unfortunately for me the random bleeding then came back, although nowhere near as heavily, so although I'm still sticking with them for now I will be asking about alternatives at my annual review with my GP. I still feel far better than before I started on them though - they absolutely improved my life massively. I started taking them around the New Year, and still remember the feeling that hit me one day in mid-February; "I feel well". I hadn't felt well in years and had forgotten what it was like! Good luck with them Smile

Hi, thanks for the info . I think I’ll leave starting them for a bit and try to have a bleed before I go on holiday it’s probably the easiest option. That’s great they have helped you I’m really hoping they do the same for me 🤞
