Since the waiting list for The Newson Clinic is so long, I wonder if people might be happy to recommend alternative consultants they have used & found helpful?

I realise there's a Menopause Soc list, but it would be great to get some recommendations.

I think that you will waste your money to be honest if you don't try Utrogestan vaginally first.

There is nothing more a private specialist can do other than offer you different sorts of HRT ( the tablet form Femoston is supposed to be reasonably well tolerated), or using Utrogestan vaginally.

One other variation is to extend the estrogen-only part of the cycle beyond 4 weeks (with dr's approval, off label) but it would still mean side effects (if they are going to happen) just less often.

I don't think it's worth paying £350 at the moment just to be told to try it vaginally, but your choice of course.

Every time I see you post and see posters respond to you in detail, I notice you don't take time to thank them for their time or advice.

Just an observation, it seems rude to me

Wow rude. I have a very demanding job. Kids to look after. And elderly parents to care for. I don't really have much time for long posts. Why are you reading all my posts & worrying about my replies? Odd.

Peter greenhouse.

And no need to say thankyou!

He only charges £200 including prescription and is very well respected in the field...
