Patch fell off after 24h - newbie question!

Just started Evorel with first patch on Friday. According to the packet info I’m meant to change it again on Monday (and then the following Friday).

It fell off in the shower on Saturday and I replaced it. Should I still replace today (Monday) and just be 1 short (and reorder quicker) or is there something else I should be doing??

One of my symptoms is foggy brain and this (minor!) quandary is not helping!!!

Yes, I would and I think that's the guidance that's on the leaflet in mine (Estradot).

I have just started using patches & experienced the same. I found this info online from a nurse & so far it's working perfectly. What I do is:

Clean skin with alcohol
Then rinse with warm water & dry with a blow dryer
Apply your estrogen patch & hold for 10 seconds
Apply a Tegaderm patch over estrogen patch

You should be able to get tegaderm from Amazon.

Rub the packet in your hands to get the stickiness to work. It's worked for me. For me the arse is getting off the sticker patches round the rim!!

@LadyGAgain I've found the best thing to remove the glue residue is a bit of baby oil on some cotton wool.

That's why I decided to go with the gel. It is easy to apply.
I exercise a lot so decided with all the showering and getting tight gym and cycling gear off, that the patch wasn't worth the hassle. My GP agreed.

Thanks all! I changed it over and will definitely try your tips for helping keep it stuck on!

Are you on conti or sequi? If you are on sequi then it's probably best to stick with the days. I always had a box put aside as my 'extras' box for when they fell off. If you are on conti then start the 3-4 days from the changed patch as each patch is the same and lasts 4 days so no need to stick to specific days of the week

Ensure you don’t apply it immediately after a bath or shower. Should only be applied to cool skin. You also need to slap the area after you’ve applied it. One or two slaps helps it stick 😀

I am also relatively new to the patches and have the same issue, I can only get them to stick on the top of my right leg, bum or left leg and they just come off within a day.
Have just added some micropore to my Amazon order to try to make them stay on, if this fails I guess I will need to change to gel.

Rantyrantason · 09/11/2021 21:17

It’s the sequi I’m on and I’ve only got a trial of 3 months to see how I get on. If I decide to stay on them I’ll talk to my GP about prescribing a spare box!
