Period arriving early on hrt

Hi Ive been on hrt for around 8 months, and feel it's really working for me. I'm on estrogel 3 pumps a day and utrogestan I take on the 1st to 12th day of each calendar month and so far have found my period generally arrives about 48 hrs after ceasing the utrogestan so 14th/15th of the month. Until today... It's the 31st, I'm due to start my utrogestan tomorrow but my period has started today. Should I be concerned? Should I plough on and start my utrogestan cycle tomorrow or not? I'd ask a gp but I know it's pointless as all the ones at my surgery know FA about this!

I'm about 4/5 months in now, usually have period about a week into starting progesterone patches, but this cycle my period came before I'd started them. My period was typical in everything other than starting date so I assumed it was my body randomly making progesterone. I'm peri with periods beginning to go a bit irregular before starting hrt, so assume my body is making these hormones randomly.

I'm not much help, am I? I noticed the early start, but it didn't concern me as my period was otherwise normal. I'm perhaps just used to the timing being a bit messed up over last year.

I have no idea if it's a problem or not.

Thanks for responding. Did you proceed with the progesterone or leave it that month?

I just carried on with my prescription. Was wondering if I'd get another period actually, but I haven't, and I'm due back onto oestrogen only in a couple of days.

Are you on any of the FB groups? There's a few big ones that have kids of members and questions get answered very quickly. Might have better luck there? The largest one I'm in is totes meri peri.

If my own body produced enough progesterone to create a period I didn’t take the progesterone.

I thought you were supposed to carry on with the HRT and the bleeding would normalise?
