I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. I've been on HRT for a couple of years but it's just occurred to me that I still have regular periods. But I wonder if I didn't take it would they still be happening ? If they continue how will I know I have reached menopause rather than peri?

If you are using sequential HRT then you have a withdrawal bleed around 3 days after the end of the cycle (tablets? or patches? or gel?)

HRT doesn't give back normal periods. It's a false bleed to keep the womb lining under control.

Your own periods may have stopped- you will only know if you stop the HRT for a few months.

That's what I wondered .... So they won't just stop anyway?

They might stop but you’d need a blood test to find out if they have
