I’m two weeks out from the operation and not experienced any symptoms (yet!) but I’m seeing my GP in a fortnight to talk about and sort out HRT. I’ve tried to read as much as I can but there is ALOT of information out there. I would really appreciate anyone who has been through this already sharing their experience and any advice, things to ask the Dr/anything else that might be helpful to know please.
I’m 38 years old. Had the total hysterectomy as part of cytoreductive surgery following appendix cancer. They didn’t find anything in the histology which was good and hopefully means no complications there as to which HRT to go for.
Currently my thoughts are I feel like I should have HRT and I feel more drawn to the patch/gel than the tablets. I would love to have a sex drive and hopefully manage any side effects/the side effects not be as bad as the symptoms I’d be trying to avoid! I don’t want much ha ha!
I feel like I need to get my head around this all now before I hit the inevitable hormone crash which might make it harder! Thank you so much to anyone able to help
