Evorel Sequi out of sync with menstral cycle! WTF do I do?

Looking for advice on this.

I started with Evorel 50 patches at the beginning of my last period. I did 4 of the 50 patches (x2 a week) then started on the Conti patches with the intention of doing 4 patches (x2 a week). My period arrived when I applied the 2nd patch, effectively a week and a half early! Normally I am pretty regular. I don’t know now weather to sack off the last 2 Conti patches and start again on the 50, or to carry on and see if it settles again, how stays out of sync with my cycle? Don’t really feel I can hassle my GP with this, any advice?

Is it not just the progesterone causing the bleeding though? I've just started on Sequi myself, am only on my third Evorel 50 patch, but the GP did warn me that this might happen when I apply the Conti. I can recall bleeding constantly on Cerazette too, come to think about it.

I would keep going for the time being but if things are really bothersome then don't feel like you're wasting the GPs time - after all, it is what they are there for and your health and wellbeing is just as important as anyone else's!

I've just been prescribed Evorel Sequi but I'm confused when I should start using the patches as I still have monthly periods. Does it matter?

Was anyone given any advice when to start theirs? I'm waiting for a call from the GP but she only works 1 day a week so I'm having to wait for answers.

@Quadzilla Are they regular? If so, stick the first patch on on the first day of bleeding. If they aren't then stick it on straight away. I'm not regular at all - cycle can be anything from 20 days to 38 days - so stuck my first patch on as soon as I got home from the chemist. Have you had a good read of that loooong leaflet that comes in the pack - it's all explained in there.

Regular-ish. Thanks for the reply, I have looked at the leaflet but must have missed something. I'll go back and take another look
