Estraderm 50 patches

I was prescribed these and Uestrogen tablets for days 14-28. I'm on day 7 of patches and have just felt odd.

Almost like a wired feeling? as if I'm on some sort of illegal drug 😳 I feel paranoid and that my brain is going at 100mph. I took anti depressants many years ago and it feels like the first couple of weeks on those.

Anyone else??

I was on Evorel 50 and Utrogestan and felt awful. Had dreadful migraines that lasted for days. I switched to Estradot 25 and kept the Utrogestan the same and now feel fine. Think the 50 micro grams was too much for me. Maybe you need a lower dose too?

I hadn't considered going lower but you could be right, I just feel like my mind is racing at 100mph. It's not nice 😔

If you change to oestrogel you can start with just one pump and alter the dose yourself.

I've cut my patches in half for now until I speak to my Dr. Not sure if they'll be effective or not!

I hope someone can help me or give me some advice. I have just recently been prescribed estraderm mx 50 patches which I have been wearing for 5 days and I don’t believe that they are working at all. My question is how long does it take to start feeling human again. It would be fair to say I feel absolutely exhausted, hot flashes are extremely unrelenting and I just don’t feel myself ar all. It would be nice to actually correspond with a fellow person who has/going through this. Thanks in advance x

It seems to vary, @Britishchick866, but you definitely need to give it more than five days! The advice often given is to give HRT three months before changing it if not effective. If you want to chat to others in the same situation it may be worth starting your own new thread.

Thank you lovely, I wasn’t sure what to do on a forum like this but you get to the point where Google is your new friend and all men are evil!! Truly appreciate your advice x

Menopausematters website is good, but can be a bit tricky to find your way around. Just ignore the ads. Also look out for jinglehellsbells on here, she is very good on anything menopause related.
