I'm 49 and deep into the peri menopause. I've recently had to have my coil removed and stop my estrogel due to having had the wrong type of coil inserted. I've basically been overdosing on oestrogen for the last 12 months Angry

Anyway, I've felt so unwell during this last 12 months I've decided to see how I go without any medical intervention at all. Getting used to having periods again and I've got a little bit of insomnia but largely I feel pretty good!!

The only thing that's bothering me is the most dreadfully itchy skin after I've had a shower or bath. All I've found that helps is to take Benadryl but I was just wondering whether anyone was else has the same and if so whether they've found a way of stopping it?

Yeah, one of first things I noticed was my skin going to pot. Massive tub of Cerave and lather yourself up every day, it really helps.

Thanks @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor - is it the moisturising cream that you use?

Yes the big tub. It's better than other creams as it actually has lipids or something (I think!) which build up the skin barrier again. It's really helped my skin and I use it on my face too- lovely stuff.
