Hello,

Today i have been perscribed, by a young but nice lady doctor, Evorel Conti patches.

I last had a period in late June 2021 and not a drop of the red stuff since. Defo not preggers as hubby had the snip about 4 years ago.

Its just everywhere I read, including the drug leaflet, says that '' It is suitable for women who have not had a period (menstrual bleed) for at least 18 months''.

My FSH was 29 in a blood test done about a month ok, which in the Dr's eyes, indicates that I am menopausal evidently.

I am 45 yrs old and periods have been irregular for about 6 years and along with other peri symptoms.

Should I try the patches or should I query them with another doctor at the surgery or even ask the local pharmacy ?

Thanks for any advice xx

You need Evorel sequi.

Conti is for women 12 months usually ( doesn't have to be 18 months) with no periods.

Thank you. I did wonder, however I can't say for sure if I will have another period or not? I will ask my Dr's surgery to double check 🤔

The evorel sequi box has 4 sequi patches and 4 conti so is it deffo conti only you have ?

Yes definitely Evorel Conti originally. I now have a prescription for the right stuff which cost double as 2 types of patches in there.
