Cyclical HRT question

I'm new here and I have a question about what to expect with cyclical HRT. I'm using topical estrogen and progesterone, with the latter only the 2nd half of the month. Should I expect the same changes in cervical mucus mid-month that I had when I was ovulating?

No.

HRT doesn't restore fertility and using gel every single day isn't going to replicate a natural, fertile cycle with ovulation

Thanks, but that wasn't my question. I am just wondering whether the estrogen itself causes the LH surge that affects cervical mucus, even without ovulation. I am looking for reports of personal experiences here - has this happened for you when taking cyclical HRT?

Note, however, that in some cases of premature ovarian insufficiency, taking estrogen can in fact restore some level of fertility. There are numerous case studies in the medical literature about this.

The answer is still no, it doesn't and can't.

I also wonder why it's a question you have? Is it relevant in some way?

For anyone who is post menopause when they use HRT or in very late peri, cervical mucus and secretions vary hugely and are often increased/decreased owing to the use of vaginal estrogen.

Yes I'm fully aware of your 2nd point but HRT is not a treatment for POI. Up to 10% of women with POI often ovulate off and on for many years after diagnosis.

Do you have POI?
