36 and symptoms, what do I do?

I was chatting to an older friend and I think I could be peri menopausal. My mum’s periods stopped in her early 40s.

Periods have been 21-24 days apart for last 2 years. Before this 29 days like clockwork.

diarrhoea and gut trouble since January, negative for coeliac and waiting for colonoscopy.

Anxiety very up and down. Actually had a panic attack with no good reason at work a couple of weeks ago. Palpitations on and off.

Hot and sweaty a lot of the time, nothing extreme, but can’t seem to dress right/get comfortable.

Fucking furious a lot, mostly at family and husband. At the time I’d say it’s justified, but rationally looking at it it’s not!

Libido has vanished for about 3 years, apart from the last week, which has been very very weird, and prompted me to google.

I’m not depressed, life is actually really good.
Not taking any contraception and not pregnant.

What do I do with these symptoms? I don’t have any faith in GPs, they’ve been shit for other things and menopause seems to be a nightmare to get any help with.

Conscious that it’s early, and I’ll either get fobbed off with antidepressants, but worried about bone health longer term if this is the start.
Help!

It might be your thyroid as that could explain your symptoms - can you get into the GP to chat? 36 seems very young so you'd probably need a check over to make sure there wasn't something else going on, a GP is very unlikely to accept those were peri menopausal symptoms at 36 without looking at other things.

I’ve had recent blood tests due to the bowel stuff and thyroid is fine. I’m a bit low on ferritin, everything else is good inc B12 and vit D.
