Period Late - when to start HRT?

I have Oestrogen and Utrogestan ready and waiting to start but my period is proving elusive and I am now 19 days late.

GP said to start the gel on day 1 of period and Utrogestan days 15-28. I forgot to ask what to do if said period was waylaid! I suspect the answer might be to just start anyway and create a new cycle but wanted to check with more knowledgeable people. Also, slightly concerned that uterus lining will get become too thick if I start the gel now.

Thank you

I had cyclical HRT tablets and haywire periods, doc said to just start them at any time. At the time my cycles were anywhere between 20 days and 120 days!

Thanks @DaxtheDestroyer I thought that might be what I’ll need to. Maybe I’ll give it another day or 2 just in case my period materialises as then start the gel.

I was worried in case delaying my period by starting the gel now would cause by uterus lining to become dangerously thick? I’ll be 3 weeks overdue on Monday so if I start then it will be 11 weeks when I have a withdrawal bleed (I think).

I may not be understanding things quite correctly though
