Frightening night time experience

Hi.
I'm 44 and for the last year or so my periods have been quite heavy and coming every 3 weeks.
But I now haven't had a period since July which I know isn't that long so far.

Every now and then just at night time I have had experiences of my head spinning. It feels like I need to hold my brain. I cant focus or close my eyes.

Last night I had a frightening experience at about 3 am where mt head was spinning, I couldn't focus, I had tingling in my arms and face and was sweating like crazy. I literally thought i was gonna die as I felt that strange.

I rang my GP first thing and he will call me back tomorrow.

Has anyone had this experience with the menopause?

You mean vertigo type head spinning?

I get that. It's benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in my case, and it started in my mid 40s. It can be a symptom of menopause. Mine has got massively better since starting HRT.

But you absolutely need a consult with the GP for that, as it could be something else.
