Advice-Starting oestrogen gel and progesterone tablet

I am starting today is it ok to put the gel on in morning and take the tablet at night aa instructed?
Also on the prescription re progesterone it says on days 1 to 25 but my GP told me I can take it continually as I’m 3 years post menopause
