Or at least I think I have I think I had one five weeks ago having been quite regular - but I'm also on the mini pill.
Could the anxiety and worries I have be exacerbated by peri menopause.
What can I do?

The bleeds whilst you are on the pill are not periods. peri menopause is diagnosed from symptoms , of which anxiety can be one.

I think you probably need to go and see your gp

Peri menopause can mess you right up. Weird things that you can’t control. Not just hot flushes but anxiety as you say, foggy thinking, stuff joints, bowel issues, loss of libido. All sorts of stuff. All while you are having periods.

As you are on a pill and that’s all hormones it presumably could exaggerate or improve these depending on the hormones in it.

I think im being affected by perimenopause. Crying all the time coupled with thinking about the past all the time. Im 48 and my last period was five weeks ago. They are usually every three weeks. Doesnt seem five minutes since i was in my early thirties.

Im not on any contraception.

@Winnebaggo did your dr tell you to stop the mini pill with the hrt?
I ask as am on mini pill and got prescribed patches to start but 2 drs gave different advice on being on mini pill and hrt.

Winnebaggo · 09/09/2021 16:56

Let us know if it helps with anxiety.

Sounds like classic peri symptoms. You're not alone though and certainly not losing it. Have a look at www.menopausedoctor.co.uk. There is lots of information on there. I thought I was losing my mind but with the hep of that website and an app called Balance, I have just started HRT and will hopefully see an improvement. x
