Regular light bleed on Femoston Conti 1/5 - normal?

A year ago I had been without a period for a year and was getting hot flushes and recurrent UTIs. I suggested HRT which GP prescribed, but I was given Femoston 1/10 which gave me heavy monthly bleeds. I rang the GP and it was decided to switch to Femoston Conti 1/5. I had light bleeding which GP put down to settling down on HRT having switched. I'm still getting the light bleeding monthly though and it's been a year.

Is it possible that these are periods? I'm 51.
