Peri menopause - when to see a Dr?

I’m 50. Periods were always like clockwork but became erratic in past year or so. I started missing some and seemed to be every second month. Then I had an extended period without. The past 3 ‘periods’ have come every 2 weeks and this last one has been going on for at least 12 days which is longer than usual. It isn’t uncontrollable but still needing to use tampons. Any of you had this and felt
The need to see a Dr?

The only problem you described is not liking irregular periods . I'm curious if Doctors can fix irregular periods. BC pill, maybe?

I had heavy periods which caused anaemia, so I took the decision to ask for a Mirena coil.
Perhaps that’s something you could look at.
It can also be used as the progesterone part of HRT if you decide to go down that route at any point.
