Help surgical menopause symptoms including rage!

Had a hysterectomy and oopherectomy a few weeks ago and am healing well but….
Have rage, irritatability, brain fog to the point of not being able to describe an object in my hand sometimes, hot flushes, restless legs, rash and am always itchy.
I can’t have hrt due to previous breast cancer and the gp has suggested antidepressants but I didn’t really want to go down this route unless absolutely necessary.

Im taking cbd oil tablets 1200, calcium, vitamin d, some cream for my legs and lavender oil as I’m restless and can’t sleep very well.

Can anyone recommend anything else that has worked as I’m desperate and also how long do I give the supplements I’m taking to even actually work before I try something else?

Any help and advice would be much appreciated xx

CBT for the rage.
It helps me. I can’t take HRT either.

Buts, you need HRT.
Get a referral to a menopause specialist via your GP.
Chelsea and Westminster are good, Liverpool women’s hospital, Paula Briggs, Anne Henderson .. look at BMS site if you can afford private, usually around £180|250 for an initial consultation. GP usually prescribes on NHs going forward.

Anti depressants will do nothing.
Your symptoms are due to lack of hormones.
.
Pm me if you want, as I’ve had breast cancer and take HRT.

It depends on the type of breast cancer. Mine was hormone receptive. A private menopause specialist told me it was ultimately my decision to take HRT but she really didn’t recommend it.

Hey @Buts I'm also going through surgical menopause, hysterectomy last November. I can't take HRT as surgery was due to cancer, cancer was estrogen receptive.

I also went through the awful rage phase, anxiety, depression. I started escitalopram approx 6 weeks ago and it's made a massive difference for me. Worth exploring.
