I'm in peri and have pain in my knees and elbows.
Did try hrt but piled on weight.

Anyone had any luck with a diet supplement.
Already on menopace and Sage tabs

THanks

Glucosamine and vit d works for me

Boiledeggandtoast · 23/08/2021 08:38

Eating olives every day. It may just be coincidence but my joints have been so much better that I don't want to experiment by giving them up. I also found that my joint problems improved once I was through the menopause. During my peri I had a frozen shoulder and problems with my hips. I am 60 now, last period at 54, and run and cycle without any joint pain.

Thank you for replying glad to hear that it's stopped after meno. I'm going to try your recommendation.

I’m not a fan of olives, but happy to try it if it works.
How many do you eat a day ?

Boiledeggandtoast · 24/08/2021 11:51

Between 6-10, depending what else I'm eating eg I might have half a dozen on their own or with a glass of wine or in a salad, but have more in pasta sauce. I have to say that I wasn't that keen on them to begin with either, but I've learnt to like them! (Writing that, I realise that there are still some sorts that I don't particularly like, but the green ones I buy from our local deli are really lovely. You may have to try different sorts to find some that you like.) I can't guarantee they'll work but they seem to for me and they certainly won't do any harm. Good luck.

Vitamin D, get you levels checked and then take the right amount to get your levels back up.

I'm using joint care tablets from seven seas. Seems to be helping.

this is the only thing that worked for me

Tried lower doses/cheaper stuff, but they didn't help.

Ironicpentameter · 24/08/2021 12:26

Turmeric works very well for me.
