I understand that it doesn't suit everyone I am am quite disappointed , as I am still exhausted & not sleeping well , my joints still ache which I will be speaking to the Menopause Dr about tomorrow .
On advise I started on 1 pump increased to 2 then 2.5 again on advice but felt worse so have gone back to 2 .. Has anyone else felt like this ?

Hi I'm on this same combo. Can I ask what time of day you are taking the HRT?

Frostytiger87 · 09/08/2021 09:53

I apply 2 pumps of gel to my arms in the morning & take progesterone an hour before bed

Ok the reason I ask is that the progesterone makes me sleepy and I take it a hour before I go to bed. I'm sorry it's not working for you. I take my 1 pump of estrogen gel in the evening I was told to do them both at the same time.

It may be that daily Utrogestan just doesn't suit you.

Even if you are post menopause, it's 'allowable' to use 200mgs x 12 days per month. You don't just have the option of daily.

Frostytiger87 · 09/08/2021 16:21

I am on continuous haven't had a period for two years , I take the progesterone orally but I am really feeling crap no motivation & exhausted

I understood that @Frostytiger87.

I don't think you understood my post :)

I am many years post meno and use it at the moment on a cycle.

You have that option.

Oh really , I didn’t know , HRT is all very new to me , I’ll mention it to the menopause Dr tomorrow thanks

Hi

I am on the same regime as you, but take the progesterone vaginally to avoid side effects.

oneglassandpuzzled · 10/08/2021 09:10

Perhaps you need to increase the dose again? Two pumps isn't enough for me: I'm 57 now. I've been on continuous HRT for nearly two years. I am on 2.5-3 pumps a day, and if I try to reduce it I start to get hot at night and feel murderous.

Utrogestan can make you feel tired. I feel better now I'm on a Mirena coil, much to my surprise.

oneglassandpuzzled · 10/08/2021 09:11

Sorry, just read more carefully and have seen you have already increased to 2.5 pumps.

Frostytiger87 · 10/08/2021 20:01

I’m so tired of it all spoke to the Dr this morning she got a physio to call me back & after a series of questions said he’d send me some exercises to try & help with my painful hips
Apparently hospitals don’t perform xrays until after physio has been tried , to top it all up off I haven’t received any exercises today 🙈

Have you had blood tests to rule out vitamin deficiencies and thyroid issues etc?

Frostytiger87 · 10/08/2021 21:27

Yes all normal , I’m not sure if HRT is for me
