HI

I have been on HRT for circa fourmonths, three months on Evorel 50, increased to Evorel 75, sleep has improved a bit , joint pain still there, hot flushes gone, doctor doesnt really give a lot of advice..

I am 44, perimenopausal a good couple of years, how do I know if I should increase Evorel further at next review as sure it will be led by me?

Thanks

In the same boat but on E75 for a few months now. Still waking early, palpitations and mild anxiety. I tried upping to 100 but was floored with cramps! Trying to work out what to do next.

If symptoms remain, it is reasonable to request the next dose up. How your body will react, is a waiting game i think.

Thanks, it’s hard to know whether to increase or stay the same…there have been some improvements but still hope sleep and joint pain could improve further..maybe! Doctor although happy to subscribe HRT, has not been too forthcoming with advice, I had to choose what sort!!

Yes gps often aren’t up to speed with HRT types etc, so you have to do your research seems.

How long have you been on the 75 for?

They often say to give HRT regimes a good three months or so, before upping the dose. If you’ve done three months, maybe trial the 75 to see how you get on? It may be that you aren’t absorbing all the patch, in which case there are other options, such as gel, tablet or spray to try,
Some women’ absorb a particular product better than others.

In honesty, it’s a minefield. I’m 50, post menopausal and still trying to find the optimum dose! 🤷‍♀️

Okay I would give 75 a couple more months and see how you feel. It goes up to 100.

Thanks, I think I will, although after three nights of disappointing sleep I am now contemplating switching to gel, (my sleep had improved a great deal, nut was not perfect).
