Anxiety levels increase on HRT?

Hello all.

I am on Sandrena 1mg and Utrogestan. About 4 months in now. Lots of symptoms have improved but for the last month or so my anxiety levels have been off the scale.

Has anyone else experienced increased anxiety after starting HRT?

Hi sorry for a bit of a late response. I’ve been on Oestrogel 2 pumps since beginning of July and feel as anxious or worse than before I started. Will be starting the Utrogestan next week so not sure if that will help. I have read that anxiety can take longer to resolve than some of the other symptoms. Although, talking to my friend last night she said her anxiety lifted instantly. So it could be very individual. Sorry not to have a definitive answer. Maybe others on here know more. Sorry you are suffering with anxiety. It’s horrible.

GP has upped me to 1.5 of sandrena. I hope your anxiety improves too - it is horrible.

I'm on a pessary type one, will check which one. My anxiety levels are about the same. Maybe you can request a change. It's all grim though isn't it

Just checked, my cream is Ovestin, which is quite good. Actually, my anxiety has been a bit better lately, but I've been using the Calm App, and making more effort to excercise, so it's hard to tell which effect is which. It has helped with the fanjo issue though.
