Thanks for this heads up . Despite being on Oestrogel I suffer a great deal from bladder/cystitis type infections - I shall certainly raise this with my doctor the next time I have one .

You possibly need vaginal estrogen as well.

I hadn't heard of this backlash, would you mind explaining ? I'm curious as I've seen a private GP and now I'm worried!

@Y0YO I'm not going to go into details as it's a bit sensitive, but all I will say is that there was a guest post by a private dr (Mumsnet has since taken it down.) Some posters felt it was biased because the dr runs a private clinic. It wasn't anything to do with private care as such.
