Long-term HRT use advice

I'm thinking about taking HRT but can't find information about long-term usage. It appears that using HRT for a few years has many and varied benefits but that looks to reverse and cause issues in the long-term. Surely they need to be taken until you die. Any advice?

Menopausal Not Mad website is a good source of information.

My menopause doctor, the Louise Newson site, has lots of information about HRT. She believes women can take HRT for as long as they want if there are no good reasons to take them off.

The latest advice from the British Menopause Society and Nice is women can take it for as long as they need to, if they are benefiting.
