Postpartum peri menopause?

Hi, I have a 8 month old and my periods are yet to return from this as breastfeeding which is fairly normal for me. I'm 34.
However the last few months, I've been feeling just not myself, and so sweaty, sometimes I can just feel sweat running down my back and am extremely tired, think having.a 2 hour nap in the day and still falling asleep before 9 (I am also aware I have a baby, but she is a fairly good sleeper!). There's a couple of other bits and pieces, low mood, etc. Has anyone experienced this and is it obviously just postpartum stuff going on or has anyone started having perimenopause symptoms this early and/or close to having a baby. I have all the children I want now, so not concerned about that, just wondering if it's something I should bother a GP about. I'm young and just had a baby so I'm sure it's extremely unlikely but I think my mum had hers around 40.

I went into peri immediately after giving birth in my 30s. Missing periods, difficulty producing milk, sore breasts, sweats, aching limbs and joints. Took me literally years to persuade GP that I was meno. A specialist has since told me I was prob peri before I got pg, as my cycles had been getting shorter (from 28 days to 23).

I'm a bit older than you and fairly sure now I'm peri, but am still breastfeeding and there's a bit of an overlap of symptoms there - bonkers cycle, no libido, etc. No idea what is causing what Grin

Thanks, yes I think I need to wait till I stop breastfeeding and cycle returns to try and figure out what's going on, I'm sure any GP would just attribute anything to that rather than anything else at least at first. Maybe I've just turned very sweaty Blush

I'd double check you've not got some post partum thyroiditis issues but otherwise it could be hormones adjusting.

I seemed to go through v similar when my periods returned after baby number 2 at 42.
