Novofem, month 2. Anxiety through the roof

I'm 45 and have been peri for 5 years. I finally got my GP to give me HRT, Novofem was the only option as they said supply of others is too unreliable.
The first month taking it was fine. My night sweats and hot flushes have gone, joint pain disappeared, PMT noticeably reduced and even the brain fog is lifting and I am finding I am less reliant on the endless Post-it notes.
Just over a week into the second pack and my anxiety is off the scale.

I previously had anxiety with specific triggers, I did a lot of therapy/self work and pretty much 'cured' it.
This is different. I am anxious and panicking about nothing. I seem to be on a perpetual high alert. I was unloading the washing machine yesterday and had a panic attack!
I woke up at 3am in a state and none of my usual tactics for calming down were working.

I was supposed to have a review with the GP at the 4 week mark but I can't actually get a call (and because of issues with my surgery I will only deal with two members of staff over this medication) and I phoned yesterday to be told it will be another 3 weeks.

I am just after any advice or reassurance on here. Is this normal and will it subside? Or do I need to think about ditching this HRT and trying something else?
