Micronised progesterone dose

Hi - had a consult with gp today and got first ever prescription of oestrogel and progesterone 100mg tablets

On phone we agreed I would do 14 days of progesterone a month as I still have periods but the prescription says 1 tablet a night whereas the info leaflet inside the packet says 2 tablets a night if only doing 14 days ..

Do I need to go back to query it? Thanks !

Hi, if it helps, I'm newly prescribed and mine says to take for 12 nights (2 tablets a night).

I actually came on looking for help with when to take it in my cycle, when my periods are few and far between. It says to take on 15th day of cycle and stop on 26th day. But how do I know when to start when I haven't had a period lately? Can you or anyone else shed any light on this for me please?

I just got my prescription too and the instructions are 100mg, so 1 tab, per night for 25 days then 3 days off but I’m totally confused as the three day break is, I think, to give a withdrawal bleed, but I’m on mini pill so have no bleeds on that … feels like one will be working against the other. And I don’t want a bleed!!!!!

I have regular periods that are getting shorter and lighter and mild symptoms so maybe gp is just topping me up? She has a interest in menopause so don’t think it’s lack of knowledge ?

I did tell her I also would welcome a baby (been ttc for two years - yes I know I sound mad !) so maybe that’s why the doses are low, 1 pump gel 100mg utrogestan for 14 nights
