Oestrogen patches - Evorel or Progynova?

I've been using them for about 6 years (also have a coil). About 18m ago my prescription was changed from Evorel (2 patches per week) to Progynova (1 patch per week). My prescription has now been changed back to Evorel and I wonder if anyone knows which of these brands is the better/safer. I think someone told me the Evorel is bio-identical but I'm not sure the Progynova is - or whether it's even relevant or true. I prefer the Progynova but don't want to specially request it if there is any possible detriment. (I presume the swappage was due to the hrt patch shortages.)

I'd be very grateful if Dr Mumsnet could give me any advice!

Are you in the UK? Progynova is listed as a tablet online.
Have you had a google? See the ingredients list?

Estradiol is body identical and is in almost all hrt now. Unless you are given Prempak or Premarin which isn't.
