So no hot flushes/flashes or sleeplessness, symptoms yet. I’m pretty fed up and depressed but I think that is due to dealing with my DM who has head in the sand Dementia.
But my skin is absolutely fucked. I have a monthly rash (urticaria) that springs up in various locations, looks a lot like hives and is worse between ovulation and my period.
Also during this time I get chapped lips like an artic explorer, dry flakey eyelids which go red, and then, confusingly oily skin around my nose and chin resulting in red sore spots that never puss up but just sit there being swollen and tender and bright red for days. Yes I am so bloody sexy at 45!
So far I have been referred to a dermatologist who is just test me for food allergies, making me give up various foods and it’s making no difference. I really feel this is connected to peri menopause as it has only come on in the last few years and is so linked to my cycle. I also have VA which could be considered a skin condition for which I take Oestrogen cream etc. Plus aching fucking joints all the time. Has anyone else been affected like this and found a treatment? I’d be more than willing to try HRT if it works.
