Hi , I’ve been prescribed gel & tablet progesterone can the progesterone be used vaginally
What’s the difference between that & orally ?

The Utrogestan capsules are the same.

Legally, in the UK it's not licensed for vaginal use but more and more private drs are suggesting to use it that way.

Yes I’ve been told I can use it vaginally but tbh I think it’s tricky without an applicator

It's not that bad- lie down and use your finger.

There is a 200mgs capsule so you use 1 instead of 2 x 100mgs, but it's only available on private prescription (as it's marketed for fertility not HRT at that does) as far as I know and is expensive. It comes with an applicator (or mine did) but it's hard plastic and not great.

I just use my fingers now for 2 x 100 mgs.
