First month of HRT

So I'm a few weeks into taking HRT. I'm on Oestrodose gel and Utrogestan. I started the Utrogestan on the 1st of month and was expecting to bleed when I stopped after 12 days. But I started bleeding today (after 7 days of Utrogestan). My period has basically come at the time it was roughly due. Is that normal? Will it take a few months for things to find a rhythm?

Your own period won't be paused by using Utrogestan for only 7 days, if it was due to happen.

In time it may create a new cycle.

Thanks @JinglingHellsBells - that makes sense. I guess I need to let it work a few months until it kicks in properly!
