Anxiety and Depression

Hi. I started suffering from anxiety in my mid 40s due to the peri menopause. I've always had bouts of depression due to hormones.

I had a really bad time with anxiety last month and had to get professional help to deal with it.

Over the last few weeks I have been virtually anxiety free. I am wondering if the HRT I have been taking over the last 7 months or so has helped.

Has anyone found HRT helped with anxiety and depression and did it take a while to kick in?

Thanks

I definitely think that it can help.

Thanks for replying. That's good that you think HRT can help.

I hope so. This is the main reason that I'm starting the HRT. I'm fed up of feeling so anxious and full of dread. I really hope it works for me.

I can empathise and hope HRT works for you. I find exercise helps with the anxiety and trying to take things one day at a time (easier said than done I know).

There is an anxiety support thread on here by the way.
