Period two weeks apart

I seem to have just started a period two weeks after the last one started. The last one was a bit shorter than usual (5 days rather than 7). The same thing happened in November, a shortish one followed by another one 2.5 weeks later. I am nearly 47 and assume it's peri menopause. Is this normal or should I be talking to my GP? I feel fairly well otherwise. No other symptoms.

Yeah I’d say it’s peri, op - classic symptoms of periods coming closer together before they space out and stop. You should run it past your gp though, just to be on the safe side but you’re bang on the average age for this marlarkey to start. Are you getting any other symptoms? Night sweats, tearfulness, unexplained rage???

Thanks @Fingersstuckwithsuperglue, no other symptoms really but it's hard to tell as my moods are very up and down anyway!
