Davina - menopause programme on C4

Just a heads-up that Davina McCall has what looks to be a really informative programme on tv next week - Sex, Myths and The Menopause. Wednesday 12th May at 9pm on Channel 4.

A bit of a on this as it's as if another celeb has just jumped on the bandwagon when they hit this stag e of life and wants to make money from it- it may well help, but the info is all out there anyway on some very good websites.

Why is the first word in the title 'Sex'? This really pisses me off. Yet again, the menopause, a female-only experience affecting every organ and process in the body, is filtered via a sexually objectifying male gaze. Even when discussing our own health, it's all about f*ability and fertility. For many women, these are the least distressing and life-changing symptoms.
