I've been taking Femoston Conti 1/5, a continuous combined (not sequential) hrt preparation for about 3 yrs and have up until now paid one prescription charge. Last week, collecting it from my doctors pharmacy, they insisted on charging me two prescription charges for it. I queried it and they said they'd double check but confirmed that it's a two charge item because it contains two drugs even though they are combined and not sequential. I’d be grateful if anyone else can share their experience of this. My prescription has been dropped to three months at a time and now the charge is doubled I’ll be paying nearly £80 a year for her instead of £20.😕

Well £80 / year is pretty damn good value...

But do you take any other medications, look at pre payment certs, it's just over £100 pa.

I'd query that as the patch surely contains both hormones.

But as a by the way, even £80 a year is cheap- less than £7 a month. 20p a day , sort of.

1/5 is one only charge, because it is the same pill all the time.

The 1/10 and 2/10 both have 14 pills of estrodiol only and 14 days of estrodiol + progestogen, and they are two charges.

Did you get a receipt?
