Feeling like milk coming in - related to menopause?

Feeling like it did when my milk was coming in when I was breastfeeding my kids....but I'm 50 and definitely not breastfeeding (or pregnant!). Could this be something peri-menopausal? Just wondering if anyone else has had this as a quick google came up with nothing
thanks

@Wingbackchair I've been having this! I have just turned 48 and have to accept that I have entered peri-menopause (frequently having periods every two week, vaginal dryness and some insomnia). I too wondered if it was related to perimenopause. Can I ask what symptons you are getting?

Very similar - more frequent (3 weekly) heavier periods, more irritable and short tempered than usual, the odd teenage-like spot and now this feeling when I do have my period that milk is letting down in my breasts! I'm a similar age to you. Might just have to accept that it's the menopause starting?!

Yes, see, I always have had very irregular periods - when I was younger I could go months and months without a period and not bat an eyelid. I never bothered to track my cycle as it was so irregular. Then right in my late 30s it regularised to every 5 to 7 weeks. Then I had kids - then it went to every three/ four weeks and now two to three weeks. It was every three weeks when I was 46 so I am now wondering if that was the start of peri-menopause. I think I have been in denial for a while, but when my last cycle was two weeks again and I had slept really badly the past few nights I just thought, ' I need to accept this is peri-menopause'. I am very unhappy about it!

I also have been getting some bad spots!

Life is pretty shit at the moment so that is putting me in a bad mood anyway, for good reason : )

ps - fun fact - apparently menopause only lasts one day! You have peri-menopause, then one year after your last period - that one day is menopause, then its post-menopause. Just learnt that!
