Too young for peri

Is 43 (44 next month) too early for peri?

I've had problems with my periods since last May. Light bleeds, heavy bleeds, 6 week bleeds. 2 week between cycle bleeds. I put some of it down to having covid last April but I was referred to gynae, I had a cervical polyp and a thickened womb lining. Increased ca125 but nothing dodgy was found

I had my copper coil out and things seemed to settle for 8 months

Until last month after I had my 2 covid jabs

I've had 2 close 14 day bleeds 1 period that was 5 days late and now I'm 3 weeks late. I've noticed the past 3 months I've not had my usual headache, nor mood swings or sore boobs except for the 1 period where I came on after 14 days and that was a nasty headache.

I do get hot at night and my joints ache

Gynae said I was too young to be in peri and to pass off basically, said it was just stress

I am terribly anxious a lot, suffer from insomnia and dry skin

Whats happening to me?

of course it's not too young. my mom went into menopause early and i certainly was on the early side for peri maybe very late 30's. done and dusted by 51.
quick google says anytime around 40.

Cookerhood · 14/04/2021 21:34

Yes, I was peri from about 40, menopause at 46/47.

userxx · 14/04/2021 21:37

Nope, not too early.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 21/04/2021 17:40

It sounds like peri to me. Not too young.

Holothane · 21/04/2021 17:42

No I had five years of dreadful migraines from 44 then the period stuff started I’ve had the menopause from hell.

Menopause by 43/44.
Definitely not too early.

PogoBob · 21/04/2021 21:17

I was peri at 38 and have now gone through menopause at 40, I'm admittedly early but there is a range

Jenthefredo · 21/04/2021 21:21

I was 40 when mine kicked in
